Radio Festival

Other Radio Acedemy members will know that the Radio festival will be taking place from 3rd -5th July in Cambridge.  Those attending will see the Who’s Who of the radio industry engage in debate and celebration at Cambridge University.   The Guardian Media Group Lecture, will be webcast live this evening (Monday) on the Radio Academy website so everybody can join in. As well as taking questions from the Media Guardian’s Matt Wells, the Director General of the BBC, Mark Thompson, will be taking questions.  To submit your questions now, or during the webcast, please email questions@radioacademy.org

The Radio Academy has also launched Radio Reunited.  This is a new way to reconnect with former radio colleagues.  It’s also a way to trace the career path of radio’s leading lights!  They have told us the service goes live soon, but for now they are offering us the chance to register our details online. Find out more at Radio Reunited.   I recommend joining the Radio Academy as a personal member.  It costs just £1.50 a month, if you work in the radio industry.
