Father God, Your Son, Jesus, wrapped in cloths after He was born And laid in a wooden manger – vulnerable, but our living hope. Today we think of the hopelessness of Jesus wrapped in the grave cloths And laid in a tomb after being crucified on a cross – dead!
Holy God, forgive us!
Thank You, that on Easter Day, hope is born again with evengreater power, And strips of cloth are found lying by themselves The Lord lives and lays dead no more – He is risen! We praise You that He is now seated and crowned at Your right hand – clothed in Glory. Amen.
