Lord Jesus, on this Holy Saturday we anticipate the joy of Easter Day, knowing there could be no resurrection without first Your death upon the cross. On this waiting day, when there seems to be no hope or future, we remember that Your love was poured out for us, that we might be saved by Your grace. Hold us in Your embrace and forgive our faithlessness. Teach us to put our trust in Your promises, that we may learn to die to selfishness and godlessness and be gloriously raised to the new life you long for us to share with You … forever. Amen.
