Blessed art thou O Christmas Christ

‘Blessed art thou O Christmas Christ, that thy cradle was so low that shepherds, poorest and simplest of earthly folk, could yet kneel beside it … and look level-eyed into the face of God.’

I have not quote the poem in full because, whilst I have it as ‘Anonymous’, some places also quote it as being from Robert Nelson Spencer, Bishop of West Missouri. I haven’t been able to establish this. I will email you the text I have, but copyright may be needed to publish or use the the whole – that’s if the source is Robert Nelson Spencer. If you are able to find out moreabout the source then please let me know. Especially if it is not ‘Anonymous’. Thanks, Edwin. God bless, Tony M

Hi Andrew – the credit I have given is the extent of what I have found. If you are able to find the full text/context of these words, I’d be really interested to hear. Sorry, I can’t be more helpful. I love these words. Bless you, Tony
