The Single Parent Journey

Single Parent Journey

Do you ever feel you have no one to turn to as a single parent?  Or do you know someone who might feel this way?  Others may be concerned about single parents, but don’t really understand their situation and pain?  Liz Gardner, Care for the Family’s Single Parent Family Co-ordinator, is all too aware of feelings and challenges that can overwhelm single parents.  A special series of events for single mums and dads called The Single Parent Journey has been created to address specific needs. The next conference will be held in Crawley in October.

Single Parent Family

Single parents may be facing the pain of not being with their children every day, or perhaps their children are flying the nest.  Those attending this conference will hear from those who share similar experiences. Liz Gardner will be joined by others, sharing their stories about the following issues:·

          Taking the Next Step
          Overcoming Giants
           Looking Ahead

Liz says: “Single parents are my ‘valiant heroes’. Parenting alone is never easy but can be challenging and rewarding. Come along and find out more.”

The Single Parent Journey will be held at:
Three Bridges Free Church, Three Bridges Road, Crawley on Saturday 7 October 2006

Events take place from 10.15am to 3.30pm. Tickets are £7 including lunch. Free crèche available for children aged 0-8 (please book places in advance).
