After 8am on the Big Breakfast tomorrow morning my guests include:
STEVE DEW-JONES and WILL JACKSON: a couple of years ago they set off from their home in Salisbury with only one thing in mind: hitchhiking to Malaysia to raise money for a Christian charity.
Tune in to hear their amazing journey that spanned the length of Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia.
They abided by two simple rules: Never pay for transport and never refuse an offer. They’ve just published a book about their exploits called ‘The Rule of Thumb.’
Then, there’s REVD RONNI LAMONT (a former teacher and parish priest) and OLLY TAYLOR (a professional puppeteer): they’ll be with me to chat about assemblies.org.uk – a website to help teachers run school assemblies. They’re also the voices of Harry & Megan, the characters they use in the video’s that are downloadable on the site. They’re here to mark ‘Pray for Schools day’ this coming Tuesday 16th. Also because there’s a new Harry and Megan DVD out in the new year – targeted at the reception age group to 9/10 year olds.
AND FINALLY
ROSALIND PICARD (leader of the ‘Affective Computing Research Group’ at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology): a very clever Christian who will be interviewed by Justin Brierley about her work and faith. He begins by asking her about how they are making robots more like humans …
The Big Breakfast from 6am – 11am – guests and competitions after 8am.
