Christmas prepared for – Advent Prayer

You may be interested in the following that I read in an Evangelical Alliance mailing today:

Advent Prayer is produced by the Alliance and is a daily prayer guide to prepare for Christmas. This year the guide will focus on the abolition of slavery from a historical and present day viewpoint.  The Alliance encourages churches and prayer groups to ask their members to set aside a few minutes a day to pray and reflect on this important issue.

Written by Arlington Trotman, former CEO of the Racial Justice Commission, the guide will raise awareness, discussion and action as we approach the bi-centenary of the Abolition of Slave Trade Act.
