A while ago I mentioned an inovative web site called, Spiral Universe. I interviewed Keno Ogbo (the site’s creator) on the radio on Saturday. If you haven’t checked the site out, please do.
Today, I’d like to mention another site that could be a useful resource. It’s called “Interface’. Basically, it’s a Methodist website that explores contemporary issues (news, film, ongoing debate) from a faith based perspective – based at Methodist Church House in London.
You will currently find the following articles on the site:
‘Holocaust Memorial Day’ – discussing Christian anti-Semitism during World War Two
‘Oscar (TM) Season!’ – an appeal from a busy Christian Dad for film recommendations
‘Gay Adoption Row’ – on the Government ruling that no exemption can be given to Catholic adoption agencies concerning adoption of children by homosexual couples
‘The Missionary Position’ – looking at foreign missionaries being brought to Britain to rebuild British faith
‘Till Debt us Do Part’ – a Methodist minister’s horror at the rising cost of UK weddings
‘I’m a consumer – get me out of here!’ – two shopoholics plan to give up buying all non-essential items for Lent
Do visit the site and give them your comments on any of the articles or subsequent posts you find particularly engaging, interesting … … or simply infuriating!
So far, Interface article writers include: Anna Drew, Herbert Stencil, Wonder, Mr Fog, James Church and Jonathan Mead and all those who posted their comments on the website. Don’t forget to check for new articles.
