Tony Miles makes himself available, whenever possible, as a Media Chaplain to support those who work in, or with, the media. This Christian chaplaincy began in 2004 and offers sensitive care for those with faith or no faith. Tony pioneered this part-time role of Media Chaplain in 2004. He is now the Deputy Superintendent Minister at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, and although he is not as involved as extensively as a chaplain as he was in the past, his role on the MCHW staff team allows him time to continue this work.
Tony seeks to become a recognised Christian presence in the media through informal networking and the building of working relationships – predominantly, but not exclusively, engaging with medium of radio broadcasting.
How can Tony help?
Tony endeavours to:
- offer pastoral support and care for those who work in the Media through relationships that he has established over the years.
- help build bridges and understanding between the Church and the Media.
- use his own skills and experience as a presenter, contributor, and writer.
- help nurture media awareness and encourage interest in and involvement with the industry.
