Football Hooligan to evangelist: Renton Baker interview

The Premier League is in full swing and football fans will be on the edge of their seats either in their living rooms or on the terraces, cheering their teams on. Although it’s referred to as the ‘beautiful game’, football does have an ugly side which rears its head from time to time. Renton Baker knows all about that and used to be a football hooligan before giving his life to Christ and becoming an evangelist for Avanti Ministries. Tony Miles spoke to him live in the Premier studio last Saturday:

Tony is a Superintendent Methodist Minister, broadcaster and author. He is a radio presenter with Premier Christian Radio and a regular contributor to BBC Radio 2's Pause for Thought (5.45 am). Tony is married with two children and four grandchildren.
