A prayer from St. Columbanus c. 550-615

Grant, O Lord, that the light of your love may never be dimmed within us.
Let it shine forth from our warmed hearts to comfort others
in times of peace and in seasons of adversity,
and in bright beams of your goodness and love
may we come at last to the vision of your glory;
through Christ our Lord. Amen

    Thank you so much for this prayer. I am still unable to find the one I spoke of reading previously. I was very interested about the island of Iona. I would still like to find the one I found so touching. I want to have it inscribed on a stone in my garden. I don’t think he would mind. Thanks so much for your help and if you care to look for more information. I live in a small area and not much information is available. As I mentioned before, I am not very good with the internet. Cureously some of Tom Hanks movie “Castaway” was filmed on Iona.

    Thanks, Reba. Give me a clue as to what the other prayer you were looking for was about. Tell me anything you can remember about it and I will try and find it for you. God bless, Tony M.
