Review

Rating: Unrated

My colleague Martin Turner was sent a copy of this Bible to review. He showed us all a copy and I was very impressed. Apart from its colour, it a beautiful, good quality leather study Bible and well worth £32.99 (Though I managed to get a new copy for about £22 through Amazon – a real bargain.) The scholarship looks good and it is refreshing to have notes that tie in with Wesley’s sermons and theology. It is the NRSV and reads well and is inclusive in its language. It is a good Bible for preachers. The print is not too small and it is also floppy, so opens well and can be held comfortably in the hand! My old N.I.V. and R.S.V. bibles have seen better days, so I now have a new one to mark up and explore.
